Evil Activities
Evil Activities are a leading duo and one of the biggest names in Hardcore. Their unsurpassed skills as producers, songwriters and performers have earned them worldwide recognition and are the reasons why they’re loved by peers and fans alike.
As Evil Activities, Kelly van Soest released his first record in 1999 and was followed by ‘Dedicated’, his first studio album a year later on the ‘Neophyte Records’ imprint. This album instantly earned him a spot amongst the then prominent artists, spearheading with releases like: ‘Invasion’, ‘One of These Days’, ‘Sick of My Life’ and his 2005 EP: ‘Back on Track’.
All leading up to the release of his 2nd album ‘Evilution’ in 2008. This critically acclaimed album launched his career into the stratosphere and solidified his status as one of Hardcore’s commanding artists. The album earned top spots in several album charts and spawned highly successful singles like ‘No Place to Hide’, ‘Raw to The Floor’ and ‘Nobody Said It Was Easy’, his chart-topping remix of Coldplay’s ‘The Scientist’.
2012 saw the release of his 3rd studio album: ‘Extreme Audio’. This album is considered as one of his most daring projects to date in which he really showed off his capabilities as a producer. A groundbreaking album in which he found a balanced mix between the conventional way of producing electronic music and live instrumentation. This resulted in a successful album with a new musical direction while still breathing his well-known signature sound, containing smash hits like: ‘Broken’, ‘Evil Inside’ and ‘World of Madness’.
After the release of the ‘Extreme Audio’ album, Evil Activities transformed into the duo they are today. With acclaimed vocalist, writer and producer E-Life added, they released amongst others the “Live Ammunition” EP, the remix to the Opposites’ and Yellow Claw’s “Thunder” and “Outta Control”, a collaboration with accomplished Dj Angerfist. Recent releases like “Speak My Mind” and “Infinite Triumph (Hardcore Soundtrack Defqon.1 Australia 2017)” add to their impressive catalogue.
They’re currently working on their new album which will see its release in 2018, but expect new releases in the near future.
Evil Activities are welcome and welcomed back on many stages and in clubs worldwide, because of their high-octane sets and always leaving a crowd wanting more. Performing on festivals like EDC, Mysteryland, Dominator, Qlimax, Tomorrowland, Defqon.1, Masters of Hardcore and more.
Evil Activities continues to be relevant in a fast-moving environment. Although they’ve got genuine classics under their belts and are considered one of the principal artist in the Hardcore genre, they don’t act like one. They are filled with an even greater ambition and dedicate themselves to the crossroads where talent, showmanship and vision meet.
